Quick Reference Guide for Plant Growth Rates

When making combinations, we recommend pairing up vigor ratings of the plants to help achieve the most uniform overall look of your combinations.

All plants are given a vigor rating on a scale of 1 to 4 based on how big and quickly they grow.
Plants with the least vigor—slower, smaller growers—are rated lower on the vigor scale, while fast-growing plants with the greatest vigor are rated higher.
Vigor ratings for each plant can be found in the variety descriptions of the Four Star catalog.
