We conduct daily weather checks and adjust our shipping protocols so that your plants arrive in the boxes and packaging appropriate for the current weather conditions. Four Star has a variety of packaging choices including double corrugated, vented and insulated boxes.

We review your plant order and automatically configure liner trays in the boxes for the most efficient shipping possible because full boxes mean you are maximizing your freight rate. Consider the number of trays needed to fill a box when ordering your liners. Here are some examples of tray configurations resulting in full boxes to optimize shipping.

Orders of 80 or more may be considered to ship by truck if Four Star determines this to the quickest, safest and most economical way to ship your plants

We stock branded containers, trays, professional fertilizers and other hard goods, ready for shipping. Order these with your plants and have everything you need for a successful season.
Driving Directions

35 miles from Ann Arbor, Michigan (approx: 43 minute drive)
37 miles from Detroit, Michigan (approx: 43 minute drive)
36 miles from Toledo, Ohio (approx: 41 minute drive)
I-275 to Exit 5 (Carleton-South Rockwood Road Exit) Take a right off of the exit ramp, and then an immediate left onto Calkins Road. Second cross road will be Indian Trail Road (approx. 1.5 miles) Main office is located on the Northeast Corner (left) of Indian Trail and Calkins.
Please note: Part of Calkins Road can often times be rather bumpy as a section is a dirt road. To avoid this continue on I-275 to exit 2 and follow the directions as if you were coming from the south from that point.
To continue to our Sigler Road location (shipping/open house location), stay South on Calkins one more block to Sigler Road, turn left. Greenhouse immediately on South side (left).
I-75 North to I-275 North to exit 2 (Telegraph Road Exit). Stay to the right heading North on Telegraph Road. Drive approx. 1 mile, turn West (left) on Sigler Road. Drive approx. 1 mile. Sigler Road location is on the North (right) side just past the expressway overpass.
To continue to our Indian Trail location (main office)…turn North (right) onto Calkins Road just past first location. Drive approx. ¼ mile, Turn East (right) onto Indian Trail Road. Office entrance is immediately on the left.
